Birds in the backyard

There’s nothing really to beat nature, is there? It’s lovely to wake up in the morning and look at the trees and plants; that is, if you are lucky to have them around you. Not many are lucky though – surrounded as they are by concrete jungle.

Behind the place where I stay, there is greenery – lots of it, an overgrowth really. Early morning s are punctuated by the shrill callings of the cuckoo. I have seen mynahs, woodpeckers, warblers and other tiny birds. Sadly, no sparrows though.

Today afternoon, I spotted a raven in one of the trees. The bird seemed to be hiding and I just could not get a proper angle. But it remained on the branches for a while.
